Join us for Tatreez, a one-day hand embroidery workshop with Jenna Aliya Hanson. Learn the history of tatreez, its importance in Palestinian culture, and the fundamentals of the craft as you stitch a pattern created specifically for the workshop.
Jenna is a textile artist based in Los Angeles residing on stolen Tongva land. A descendant of Nakba survivors, Jenna aims to connect with her heritage by practicing the art of Palestinian tatreez.
No experience required. All skill-levels of embroiderers are welcome
This is NOT a pottery workshop. This is an embroidery workshop, students take home their work on the same day.
