Tatreez: Palestinian Embroidery

Tatreez: Palestinian Embroidery

This  one-time, Level 1 workshop is part of POT's mission to preserve culture through craft.

Join us for Tatreez, a one-day hand embroidery workshop with Jenna Aliya Hanson. Learn the history of tatreez, its importance in Palestinian culture, and the fundamentals of the craft as you stitch a pattern created specifically for the workshop.

Jenna is a textile artist based in Los Angeles residing on stolen Tongva land. A descendant of Nakba survivors, Jenna aims to connect with her heritage by practicing the art of Palestinian tatreez.

No experience required. All skill-levels of embroiderers are welcome

This is NOT a pottery workshop. This is an embroidery workshop, students take home their work on the same day.
