Chai & Cry

Chai & cry. Chai & hope. Chai & community. From feelings of worry, hope, solidarity and everything in between, we offer this night for the Iranian diaspora to get together. As we show support to the people of Iran from afar, we also support each other in any complicated feelings of helplessness, love, yearning and everything in between. 

Join us for tea, potluck style snacks and refreshments (bring anything you'd like), light crafting and games like backgammon and cards. Or just hang out and meet new people, its a night to build community.

You are welcome to bring instruments to play, say a poem, or bring games.

POT is Iranian-woman owned, and we hold space for all marginalized diaspora members, including queer Iranians, ethnic minorities, etc. We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran, of Palestine, and of all peoples worldwide by colonialism. 

We appreciate a small donation to go towards our space and programming. Walk ins welcome, nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
