Shisa!
Shisa!
Make your own Shisa in this 2-day workshop with Dane Nakama. Dane will focus on a variety of handbuilding techniques to bring your own unique guardian figure to life.
Called a Shisa, Shishi, Singha, Komainu, Haetae, and by many other names - throughout Asia the mythical beasts of guardian lions or lion dogs have protected homes and families for centuries.
This workshop meets 2 days in a row, each session is 3 hours.
This is a level 2 handbuilding workshop. Some handbuilding experience required to get the full benefit of the class.
