This one-time, Level 2 workshop is part of POT's mission to preserve culture through craft.
Join us for Tahriri, a one-day hand embroidery workshop with Jenna Hanson. Tahriri is a traditional stitch style in Palestinian embroidery that uses the couching stitch method, where a thick cord is used on top of fabric and secured with small stitches.
Students must have completed Tatreez Level 1 (with us or elsewhere) to enroll this workshop.
Jenna Aliya Hanson is a Palestinian textile artist based in Los Angeles and descendant of Nakba survivors. She connects with her heritage by practicing and teaching the art of Palestinian tatreez.
