Drop-In Wheel Throwing
Drop-In Wheel Throwing
Never tried pottery? Our most popular class is a one-time, 2-hour wheel throwing class for beginners. No experience required, all materials provided.
Learn how to make ceramics on the potters wheel (aka wheel throwing) as one of our friendly instructors takes you step-by-step through the process. These classes are a great low-commitment way to try pottery for the first time.
It takes multiple classes to dry, trim, glaze, and finish a piece - so keeping a piece is not included. If you'd like to keep your piece, we can process, glaze and fire it for you for an additional fee.
- 3 glaze options: Black, White, or Seasonal Color. Seasonal color for July is Blue Dream. August thru October is Flame 🎃
- Ages 13+. Ages 13-17 must signup with an adult. For minors looking to sign up solo, see Youth Classes.

My wife and I went for a date day. It was so fun, fairly easy, very messy. Can’t wait to pick up our pieces!
Brought my team here for a holiday type gathering and we had a lot of fun together.
We booked this class as an anniversary gift to ourselves and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructor was very calm, patient and friendly. The class was very beginner friendly and the vibe was fun and pleasant. It was extremely satisfying to finally get a semblance of a piece after many failed attempts and the best part was everyone moved at their own pace. We were encouraged to do as many as we could in the given time frame and in the end it felt like we could sit there and do this for hours.
My teenage daughter and I did this class together and really enjoyed it. I haven’t touched clay since maybe preschool—the teacher did a wonderful job guiding us through the whole process, and was warm and friendly. I can understand why wheel throwing can be so zen! I will definitely come back again.
Great time first time throwing. Relaxed pace and easy to make mistakes and try again. Great teacher.
