Sliding Scale Drop-In Wheel [Mid-City]

This class is the same as our Drop-In Wheel, but is sliding scale instead. Please respect our honor system and leave spots open for folks who need it.

This is a one-time, 2-hour introductory class on wheel throwing at POT Gardens in Mid-City. We take you step-by-step through the fundamentals of wheel throwing. 

It takes multiple classes to trim, glaze, and finish a piece - so keeping a piece is not included.  If you'd like to keep a piece, we can glaze it black and fire it for you for an additional fee.

These classes are intended to provide accessible arts resources for BIPOC communities. To help us keep these classes sustainable, consider making a donation to our non-profit arm, The POTluck Initiative.

My first experience

I had an absolute wonderful time experiencing “the wheel” for the first time. I loved the energy in the room and from the artist teaching us. I will try it again. Thank you for a great time! I can’t wait to see my work fired! Carmen
